ABOUT THE PHILLY ROLLER GIRLS The Philly Roller Girls are a skater-owned and operated all-girl roller derby league and a proud member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. Over the past several years, we have developed a league of athletic, ferocious, kick ass chicks on wheels and have brought roller derby back to Philadelphia. Our league is currently comprised of over 50 skaters, dozens of refs and volunteers as well as countless fans and supporters. We have three teams: the Broad Street Butchers, Heavy Metal Hookers and Philthy Britches. Our forth season commenced in February of 2009 with the Warrior Cup Championship bout at our new home, the 23rd Street Armory in downtown Philadelphia, just a quick walk from the Green Line's 22nd Street Station. Our all-star travel team, The Liberty Belles, has competed in numerous WFTDA-sanctioned bouts and tournaments and is currently ranked 3th in the nation after a successful 2008 tournament season.
