Philly Roller Girls is partnering with PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, to save the lives of homeless animals, and raise awareness about the kick-ass nature of women's flat track derby.

PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is working toward making Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home. In 2009, PAWS will begin operating as an independent rescue organization solely dedicated to saving the most vulnerable animals in the City's animal control shelter.

All-star skaters work hard to achieve the success of a nationally-ranked roller derby team. But we cannot do it without the love and support of our fans. Won't you consider financially supporting an all-star skater this season? We have several cute but not-so-cuddly skaters in need, and all donations are welcome!

In addition, for every rollergirl adopted, Philly Roller Girls will donate 15% of the proceeds to PAWS, and its campaign to help local animals in need.

If a steadfast, dedicated All-Star is what you're looking for, we've got them in spades.
