Roller derby history:
Philly Roller Derby, 2016
I started skating with Greensboro Roller Derby in North Carolina in 2010. It was a brand new league so I just showed up to practice and I was in. I left them after a little over a year and moved up north to Philly, where I joined Shore Points Roller Derby in Hammonton, New Jersey, who I skated with for 4 years. Then I transferred to Philly in February of 2016 and here I am!2010
Worst injury to date:
A fractured thumb. I've been pretty lucky
Proudest derby moment to date:
Winning MVP Jammer at an all-star game last year (2015). I've won it before and it's always awesome, but it was especially great because my mom was there to see it - she's been so supportive since the very beginning when I could barely do a crossover.
Pre/post bout rituals:
I try to get up early and do something active to get myself going. I like to make a healthy smoothie with bananas and dates before games, and I always bring more fruit and nuts to bouts so I stay focused and energized. I always bring coconut water too - gross but hydrating.
When not on the track, where can we expect to find you?
The gym or on my bike.
The superhero I most identify with is:
Leeloo from the 5th element.
