10th Annual Bierfest

When: Saturday Feb 25th from 2:00pm – 5:30pm
Where: The German Society of Pennsylvania located at 611 Spring Garden St., Philadelphia

Hosted by Philly Roller Derby, this event will feature food, live music, a homebrau competition, 💪 Roller Derby arm wrestling, learning opportunities for the beer curious, and more! Benefiting both non-profits and the Brewers of Pennsylvania.

It is designed with the needs of Pennsylvania brewers and German importers in mind, aiming to showcase this state’s leadership in brewing (and drinking) German-style beers!

All beers are 100% donations from our participants, including PA brewers, German importers and distributors, retailers, and bars.

This event was created in 2011 by the German Society and local drinks expert Marnie Old, Bierfest and has been jointly hosted by the athletes of Philly Roller Derby, who proudly pour to raise funds for their ambitious national tournament schedule, and the German Society.

Let us pour you some drinks!

We are a league of athletes on wheels that brought roller derby back to Philadelphia, PA. Our league is comprised of over 80 skaters, dozens of officials and volunteers, as well as countless fans and supporters. PRD is comprised of three competitive adult travel teams, two competitive junior travel teams, and three competitive home teams—ready to take on any five, any time. Philly Roller Derby (PRD) is a skater-owned and operated roller derby league and we are a proud member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Established in 2005, Philly Roller Derby’s mission is simple: to promote health, athleticism, and leadership skills in people of all ages through roller derby training and competition. Working within the organization provides our members with varied opportunities to develop leadership skills and self-esteem, which positively impacts our skaters both on and off the track. PRD strives to develop relationships with other nonprofit organizations and charities and to support groups within the great city of Philadelphia and beyond.
